AN ODE TO NATURE by Dior Joaillerie
Christian Dior was the brilliant creater of the 'New Look' in 1947.
His revolutionary creations at that time provoked great runkus.
But women took to his designs of hourglass lines and long rustling skirts,
as Dior reinvented post-war fashion throughout the 1950's.
House of Dior has always attracted some of the greatest talents in the the history of fashion,
from Yves St Laurent to John Galliano.
In May 1999, Christian Dior Haute Joaillerie first opened its doors in Paris on Avenue Montaigne
to be followed by another at Place Vendome and sister boutiques in New York and Los Angeles..
The creative force behind this new direction from the House of Dior is Victoire de Castellane.
Taking her cue from the original namesake of the House, Victoire is determined to infuse
the same revolutionary spirit into the world of haute joaillerie.
Victoire de Castellane is a spontaneous woman who adores extravagance in jewels.
Revels in Beauty and Life.
All her jewellery is designed with that personality and philosophy in mind.
Much enthralled by romanticism and poetry,
Victoire creates striking and original jewels,
drawing on her love for colour and exoticism,
mixing precious and semi-precious stones in a
kaleidoscope of bejeweled fantasy.
A touch eccentric but always fired by sheer imagination.
As an Ode to Nature that Monsieur Dior so adored.
This necklace "Milly la Foret" fashioned after multi-coloured fruits and vegetables,
is an illusion to the garden of Moulin du Coudray, Dior's country home
near Fountainbleu. This beautiful creation encompass a full rainbow palette
to please any jewelled epicurean.
