Arhat Gilt copper and painted details Tibet

The finely cast and expressively modeled figure of the arhat seated at ease on an inscribed lotus base, wearing boots, a long wide-sleeved robe decorated with an incised cloud pattern and broad geometric border, secured with a looped bow at the waist, and draped with a voluminous flowing patchwork shawl gathered in folds over his left shoulder and held in place with a vajra brooch. His face turned to the right and tilted slightly upwards, his eyes with painted black irises, his open mouth highlighted with red and a touch of white pigment indicating teeth.
