Buddha Black stone Eastern India

Carved in relief with an image of a crowned Buddha, probably Maitreya, in the center, seated in pralambapadasana, his hands in dharmachakra mudra, wearing a sheer sanghati, a jeweled necklace, earrings and a five-leaved crown, a cusped nimbus behind. He is flanked by two other seated Buddhas, all three figures with their feet resting on lotus pedestals issuing from the base, the arched top of the stele carved with the five seated Dhyanibuddhas.
