A fine and rare gold openface watch, E. Howard Watch Co., 'The Edward Howard Watch', no. 59, circa 1912

18k, 16 size, gilt lever movement, wolf's tooth winding, bi-metallic compensation balance, gold cuvette, white enamel dial, Breguet numerals, subsidiary seconds, polished monogrammed case, case, cuvette, dial and movement signed, cuvette further stamped The K.W.C.Co. (The Keystone Watch Case Company), accompanied by the original cardboard slipcase, fitted wood box and two invoices, dated 1943, concerning the watches repair by the Howard Clock Products Inc., formerly The E.Howard Watch and Clock Co.

The present watch is a true rarity as it is still accompanied by the original box and slipcase. 

The 'Edward Howard' model was introduced in 1912, probably in response to Waltham’s 'Premier Maximus' model.  Less than 300 examples were produced in total.
