18k, three-quarter plate gilt lever movement, 35 jewels, one-minute tourbillon with mono-metallic compensation balance, adjusted to 5 positions, silvered dial, applied faceted baton numerals with luminous dots above, four subsidiary guilloche dials indicating date of the month at 3, month combined with 12 hours register at 6, day with constant seconds at 9 and sector for moon phases combined with 30 minutes register at 12, aperture for four-digit year indication between 7 and 8, outer ring divided in ΒΌ second with blued steel central chronograph hand, polished circular case with stepped bezel and round chronograph push buttons, water-resistant type screwed-down sapphire crystal display back to reveal the one-minute tourbillon carriage inside, case back further engraved "Limited Edition 75/200", case, dial and movement signed, with an 18k yellow gold IWC buckle.

Catalogue Note

This rare "Da Vinci Tourbillon" was produced in a limited series of only 200 examples especially to commemorate the millennium in 2000. The current lot being offered at auction is numbered 75. It is interesting to note that this watch can keep its calendar correct until the year of 2499.
