The Still Life with a Halved Peach repeats in composition, without the parrot, a work by Verelst (see London, Christie's, March 24, 1972, lot 49, as by Conrad Roepel). The parrot in this composition may have been taken from a work by Jakob Bogdany or possibly Tobias Stranover.
