A rare gold square wristwatch with calendar and Moon Phases, Audemars Piguet, Geneve, Movement No. 40722, 1949

18k, circular nickel lever movement, 18 jewels, bi-metallic compensation balance, 8 adjustments, silvered matte dial, applied Arabic and triangular numerals, four subsidiary dials indicating day, date, month and constant seconds combined with phases and ages of the moon, square case with teardrop lugs, snap back, case, dial and movement signed, with associated 18k gold bracelet and deployant clasp.

The Audemars Piguet Archives confirm that this watch was sold on 20th September 1949.
