Description
- a polychrome limewood relief of a female saint
- carved in contraposto, wearing a turban over her hair which falls in long tresses over her shoulders, her mantle carved with deep folds over her robe, later base and restoration to the polychrome and gilding
Catalogue Note
For the treatment to the drapery with its deep staggered folds, the hair falling in long tresses, the full face with fat chin and the turban headress compare with Swabian and Franconian sculpture of the period.
