A later member of the family, ?Dr. M.A.T. Rogers, has neatly ruled through in pencil  "Annie S.C." and replaced it with "AMAH" and added "Dodgson No. 3". Annie's mother was Anne Susan Charlotte Rogers, her correct initials were AMAH. The image number is uncertain, it has been assigned number 698 but it is thought Carroll himself may have assigned it number 734. He assigned numbers retrospectively so this may not be correct. Two other copies of the image are known, one of which is present in the Princeton Album II, no. 100, but with less of the background included.
