Literature
The crook was made for this bassoon by George Howarth & Sons. Recorded by Lyndesay G. Langwill in An Index of Musical Wind Instrument Makers, p. 165. However, for some reason, Langwill suggests the maker is Jacques François Simiot, who also worked in Lyon
