Catalogue Note

This ''salad plate'' was also made to match the Gorham ZBU tea set designed by Maher.  The plate was fashioned by silversmith Josiah Poyton for 29 hours, then chased by George W. Sauthof, one of Gorham's foremost chasers, for 43 1/2  hours.  The net factory price was set at $145 when the piece was finished December 12, 1912.
