Marianne Brandt

There are apparently only three known examples of this form by Brandt produced by Ruppel, and they are believed to be custom made.  The words "Gut Holz"  translate into "Good Wood," meaning "Good Luck," and it is a customary refrain in Germany when one goes bowling.   Since the bar is in the shape and color of a bowling bowl, it is possible that it was a special order for a bowling club.
