Peter Howson, b. 1958

Having graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1981, Howson has become increasingly well known for his bold style and masculine subject matter.  He was chosen by The Times and the Imperial War Museum as the Official War Artist for Britain in Bosnia in the early 1990s and his work continues to explore the brutality and reality of the world around him.
