The present work was executed as part of the Vagrancy project. The use of sail cloth as the artist's medium reflects his impoverished state at the time which forced him to paint on 'any old rubbish. Alot of that stuff was brought to me by the dossers themselves' (R.Lenkiewicz in White Lane Press, R.O.Lenkiewicz, Plymouth 1997,p.38).
