David Roberts R.A. British, 1796-1864

Roberts spent almost a year in Spain in 1832 to 1833. He left London for Spain on 18th October and reached Madrid on 16th December where he remained for three weeks. From there he went south to Cordoba, Granada and Malaga before crossing to Morocco. On his return he went to Cadiz, Jerez and Seville where he spent five months before being left forced to leave and return to London because of an outbreak of cholera
