The offered lot is a costume design for Ida Rubinstein in the title role in the one-act 'danced poem' by Leon Bakst peformed in honour of the international Olympic Committee, National Olympic Committees, and International Sport Federations at the Opera, Paris, on 10th July 1924. There was only one peformance but it was later revived on 23rd February 1925.
