- Portrait of Maria-Theresia, Altgräfin zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Raitz (1757-1830), half length, in a mauve dress, with a green bow, a lace collar and scarf
- inscribed on the reverse with the identity of the sitter
- oil on unlined canvas, oval, in its original carved and gilt wood frame

Probably His Excellency Paul, 4th Fürst von Metternich-Winneburg (1834-1906) (according to an inscription on the reverse of the frame);
Thence by descent to Princess von Metternich, Wiesbaden.
Catalogue Note
Maria-Theresia married firstly in 1778, Johann Friedrich Graf von Kageneck (d. 1800) and secondly, in 1807, Auguste, Comte de Buissy. The sitter's first husband's sister was Maria Beatrix Gräfin von Kageneck (1755-1822) who married Franz Georg, 1st Fürst von Metternich-Winneburg (1746-1818), parents of Clemens Wenzel Lothar, 2nd Fürst von Metternich-Winneburg (1773-1859), the Austrian statesman and diplomat.
