Catalogue Note

The subject was identified by Königfeld (see Literature).  Apollo and Diana, personifying the Sun and the Moon, are enthroned within an arch formed of the Signs of the Zodiac.  Diana points to Chronos.  Beneath them are personifications of the Four Seasons.
