Catalogue Note

This painting can be compared to a Wooded landscape with huts near a stream, signed and dated 1659, in the Frans Halsmuseum, Haarlem (see W. Bernt, Die Niederländischen Maler und Zeichner des. 17. Jahrhunderts, vol. II, Munich 1980, no. 535, reproduced).
