  • Pen and two shades of brown ink with touches of red chalk. Various French inscriptions, calligraphic letters and decorative sketches on the verso.

Catalogue Note

Though clearly the work of a competent hand, no obvious attribution for this sheet presents itself. The background landscape seems reminiscent of the style of Jan van Scorel, while the figures are perhaps closer to Lambert Lombard.
