Brass dial with matted centre signed below the silvered chapterring with Roman numerals Nicholas Massey London, associated brass hands, date aperture with engraved surround and subidiary seconds, well cast cherub spandrels, movement with five well turned ringed pillars, later chevalier de Bethune escapement and outer countwheel striking on a bell, maintaining power and shutters removed, walnut veneered case with flat moulded top, former rising hood, twisted quarter columns, long rectangular door with oval lenticle inlaid with flower and scrolls inlay of various woods, rectangular base with marquetry inlay of a flower urn with scrolls, on a flat moulded plinth, feet missing, imperfections, weights and pendulum missing
