Brass dial with engraved wheatear border, silvered chapterring with Roman numerals signed Fromanteel & Clarke, foliate pierced hands and engraved alarm disc, subsidiary seconds, apertures for date, day and day-sign below, left apertures for month, month-sign and month-personification, right apertures for moonphase, moondays and tide, heavy cast cherub spandrels, movement with five ringed pillars, anchor escapement and outer countwheel Dutch quarter striking on two bells, alarm on a bell, stained fruitwood case with ebonised mouldings, surmounted by a later giltwood atlas and angels, hood with later bell top, square door with ebonised corner columns, later front and side frets, long door with chequered inlaid banding, oval brass lined lenticle with ivory chequered inlay, square base with chequered panel, moulded plinth raised on later ball feet, restorations and imperfections
