Description
the baluster-shaped body on a low splayed foot, a tall slender neck rising from a broad openwork ridge above the shoulder, the terminal of stylised floral form, with repoussé decoration of quatrefoil cartouches of floral sprays beneath raised petal motifs, the designs reserved on a ground of green enamel
Catalogue Note
The form and decoration of this sprinkler appear to derive from the same tradition as lot 90. The raised petal forms around the neck have become more numerous and the floral motifs less Persian in style following the more formulaic approach associated with the eighteenth century.
