to the Duc de Lorraine, in French, about the continuation of their mutual confidence and amity, acknowledging the losses his family has suffered in the interests of the Grand Alliance ("...dont vous venez de donner une preuve si convaincante, en quittant si genereusement vos Pretensions au Montferrat por frayer le chemin au Bien Public..."), and assuring him that peace will not be concluded until he has received proper satisfaction and compensation for his efforts on behalf of the public good ("...vous pouvez conter sur tout ce qui sera en mon pouvoir, pour vous mettre en etat de rendre encore votre Principaute, comme elle a este autrefois, la Barriere de l'Empire de ce coste ci..."), subscribed in her hand "Mon Frere Votre bonne Soeur Anne R"' counter-signed by Lord Sunderland
