Sotheby’s Wine is delighted to host our final New York auction of the season, Finest & Rarest Wines, on Saturday, 8 December. The sale leads with previously banded OWCs of Domaine de la Romanée Conti from the historic 1990 vintage, as well as Vega Sicilia ‘Unico’ landmarks such as the 1968, 1970, and 1981.
We are also thrilled to feature legends of the Northern Rhône, including a compelling anthology of Guigal’s iconic “La La’s” (1995 – 2008), alongside a trove of J-L Chave’s increasingly rare and mythical Ermitage ‘Cuvée Cathelin’ (1990 – 1998).
Bordeaux makes its mark with more than 100 bottles of Petrus (1964 – 2000), Le Pin in magnum, as well as the First Growths in a variety of formats, including 1982 and 2000 Mouton both in double-magnum.
A compelling consignment of Masseto (2004 – 2015) and Ornellaia (1998 – 2009) entirely in OWC flies the flag for Italy. And festive treats also figure, including parcel quantities of Krug, Dom Pérignon, and Salon from top vintages of the ‘90s, and delectable Madeira back to 1834.
