17th and 19th century Decorative Arts will be showcased during the Excellence sale, to be held on 13th November. Exceptional pieces have been selected for their scarcity, aesthetic qualities and provenance. Among the star lots, several very refined porcelain objects including a rare pot partially enamelled in Chinese sandstone, with gilt bronze mount from Régence period. A rare German parcel-gilt silver Trinkspiel, by Hans Maulbrunner, Augsburg, 1614-1616, is an early and playful masterpiece of precision (est. 150 / 180.000 €). Among the treasures of European Sculpture and Works of art from Renaissance to Baroque is a beautiful terracotta group figuring Virgin and Child modeled by one of the preeminent workshops of the Maine, French, 17th century (estimate €60,000-80,000 €), as well as a rare and early painted enamel plaque with a Nativity by the Master Monvaerni, Limoges, circa 1475 (estimate €40,000-60,000).
