Several exceptional pieces from the Fine Chinese Paintings sale sold for multiples of their estimates. Ju Lian’s Blossoms from the Mo Boji Family Collection achieved HK$5.84 million/ US$750,000, more than 20 times its estimate.
DETAILS
This May, Fine Chinese Paintings presents a hundred works by modern artists, featuring distinguished fresh-to-market private collections, among which are works previously from the Mo Boji Family Collection, the Mao Zijian Collection and the Ye Gongchuo Family Collection. Also highlighted in the sale are salient works by Zhang Daqian, Lin Fengmian, Jiang Zhaohe and Qi Baishi from European and American private collections.
