Property from a Distinguished Pennsylvania Collection leads a substantial section of Sporting pictures, with important works by John Frederick Herring Senior, Benjamin Marshall, William Henry Davis and a breathtaking watercolor by Sir Alfred Munnings. The collection includes portraits and racing scenes of celebrated horses, hunting scenes, and an impressive number of paintings featuring king charles spaniels, notably a beloved portrait by James Ward of his dear companion, Dash.
