Stephen Shore

Stephen Shore (born in 1947 in New York City) is an influential American photographer known for his pioneering use of color photography and his early adoption of the snapshot aesthetic in fine art. Shore rose to prominence in the 1970s with his series "American Surfaces" and "Uncommon Places," in which he documented seemingly mundane scenes and landscapes across the United States with a 35mm camera, capturing the quintessence of American life.
