Arturo Pani Biography
Arturo Pani was a Mexican furniture maker known for using new materials to reinterpret traditional forms. Often working in gilt iron, he created well-proportioned, opulent versions of coffee tables, lamps and chairs. His works became renowned as he rose to senior designer at the firm De la Pena, Lascurain, y Compañía. His unerring presence in the Mexican Modern scene influenced the proliferation of Mid-Century Modernism throughout the country.
