enerously hosted by Sir John Soane’s Museum Foundation, contemporary artist Jacob van der Beugel joins the 12th Duke of Devonshire to discuss The North Sketch Sequence, his remarkable permanent installation at Chatsworth. Located in the North Sketch Gallery, the 659 handmade panels showcase raised ceramic blocks that represent the revised Cambridge Reference Sequence for human mitochondrial DNA, including the personal DNA profiles of the Duke and Duchess, their son Lord Burlington and his wife, Lady Burlington.
