I nternationally acclaimed photographer Jimmy Nelson's arresting series BeforeThey Pass Away is currently on view at Sotheby's in London on the 16–21 September 2016, with thirteen exclusive large-scale prints from this unique documentary project on sale. Nelson spent five years travelling across Europe, Asia, Africa and the South Pacific visiting 35 indigenous tribes between 2010 and 2015. The resulting images beautifully capture the relationships between his subjects and their surroundings, rituals and traditions.

Nelson's work seeks to provoke a discussion and dialogue around the longevity of these rural communities, with many facing the affects of climate change, global industiral expansion and conflict. He is currently working on the second part of the series, and various projects for the recently opened Jimmy Nelson Foundation.
