Valentin Woltmann

Valentin Woltmann is Head of Sales for Modern & Contemporary Art at Sotheby’s Cologne. He maintains close relationships with collectors across Germany and advises them with his expertise on buying and selling for the international market.

He holds a dual degree in art history and political science from Munich and Venice and began his career in 2021 at an international auction house in Hamburg before joining Sotheby’s in March 2023.

With in-depth knowledge of modern and contemporary art, he is regularly consulted on the valuation of major works and collections.
