Maureen Hooft Graafland joined Sotheby’s in 2006 as Head of the European Client Development group; in 2015 she assumed additional management responsibility for the European Private Client Group. In her new role as Senior Director, Head of Fiduciary Client Group Europe, Maureen is responsible for the long term strategic approach to the management of Sotheby’s relationships with the fiduciary community in Europe.
Maureen has worked on major client and strategic initiatives, including the establishment and leadership of the European Client Development function in 2006. Maureen has helped Sotheby’s to deepen its client base in Europe, strengthening the firm’s relationships with some of the most European important art collectors.
Prior to joining Sotheby’s, Maureen was a Vice President at JP Morgan in New York and London, where she gained extensive international Corporate Finance experience, with a focus on German and Austrian financial institutions.
Mrs. Hooft Graafland is a graduate of Smith College in Massachusetts.
