Biography
Madison Rosenfield joined the Popular Culture team in September 2025, after earning her B.A. in American Studies from Columbia University. She first came to Sotheby’s over summer 2024 as the Science & Popular Culture Intern, where she deepened her interest in auctions while contributing to the annual Geek Week sale series—including the record-breaking sale of Apex the Stegosaurus for $44.6 million.
Madison is delighted to return to Sotheby’s full-time, now with a special focus on the ever-evolving, ever-relevant world of pop culture. As she works with the team to shape and define this burgeoning category within the greater luxury market, Madison brings with her an ardent appreciation for arts and entertainment, several years of experience as a writer and cultural journalist for publications including The Source Magazine, the Columbia Daily Spectator, and Rowdy Magazine, and an enduring curiosity about the world around her.
