Jacqueline Wachter joined Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Department in New York in 2008, where she played a significant role in such landmark sales as the Neuberger Berman & Lehman Brothers Corporate Art Collection in 2010. Ms. Wachter also served as Director of Sotheby’s then new selling exhibition space, S|2, where she managed the gallery in New York and coordinated both selling exhibitions and private sales worldwide.
Having developed her expertise in New York, Ms. Wachter transferred to Sotheby’s Los Angeles office as Senior Vice President of Private Sales, bringing nearly a decade of experience in the field of Contemporary Art. As Sotheby’s leading Contemporary Art expert in the region, Ms. Wachter also continues to develop sales for the Contemporary Art auctions on both the buyer and seller end.
