Hongyi Yang

Hongyi Yang is Deputy Director of Sotheby’s London and Specialist and Client Liaison, Asia Market, Old Master Paintings. She holds an MPhil Distinction degree in History of Art from Clare College, Cambridge. She trained with Christie’s London where she completed an MLitt course in History of Art and Art-world Practice and gained her dual bachelor’s degrees in English literature and in Economics from Tsinghua University, Beijing. Being able to draw from her previous experience working with private collectors, Hongyi plays a key role in developing the Asia market for OMP while providing expertise to clients of the region. Besides her mother language Chinese, she also speaks fluent English and German.
