Biography
Elizabeth Webb is a Senior Vice President and Specialist in the Contemporary Art department at Sotheby’s. She is responsible for consignments and appraisals for new and established clients, with a particular focus on strengthening collections and private sales. At Sotheby’s, Elizabeth has played a pivotal role in bringing major collections to market, including the collection of Chara Schreyer which sold for $69.8 million in 2023 and the Ginny Williams Collection which sold for $65.5 million in 2020.
Prior to Sotheby’s, Elizabeth was a founding member of Art Agency, Partners—a boutique advisory firm that was acquired by Sotheby’s in 2016. With AAP, she focused on developing collections, providing her expertise for planning and sourcing and installation. She previously worked as a curator for a prominent Private Collector and was a Specialist in the Post-War & Contemporary Art department at Christie’s.
Elizabeth graduated with a B.A. in Art History from New York University.
