Dr.Katharina Prinzessin zu Sayn-Wittgenstein, Senior Director, Head of Sotheby’s Hamburg, studied art history and history at Vienna University and began her career with Sotheby’s in 1993 as the first representative in our Prague office, Czech Republic. In 1997 she became the Director of the Mucha Museum in Prague, which is dedicated to the oeuvre of the art nouveau artist Alphonse Mucha. On her return to Germany she worked as a freelance art consultant, before returning to Sotheby’s in 2003. As the head of Sotheby’s Hamburg office, Dr. Katharina zu Sayn-Wittgenstein is responsible for client liaison in northern Germany.
