Biography
Formerly a solicitor in the private client department of a London law firm, Clarissa Vallat joined Sotheby’s Tax and Heritage Department in 2012. Clarissa's work for clients ranges from advising on the export of works of cultural significance, private treaty sales to UK institutions, heritage exemptions and valuations for tax purposes, to the negotiation of leases of personal possessions. She speaks on heritage and taxation issues at a variety of events.
Clarissa graduated in French and Spanish from Oxford University and has also worked in law firms in France and Spain.
