Biography
Carola Reyes Benítez is an Associate Specialist in Latin American and Contemporary Art at Sotheby’s. In this role, she supports the Latin American Art department in sourcing, appraising, and valuing works for both auction and private sale. She also contributes to the research and cataloguing of artworks featured in upcoming auctions.
Since joining Sotheby’s in 2020, Ms. Reyes has worked on several landmark sales, including The David M. Solinger Collection, Arthouse: The Collection of Chara Schreyer, The Emily Fisher Landau Collection, 31 Subway Drawings by Keith Haring, From the Collection of Larry Warsh and Toy Story by Andy Warhol.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Business Studies from New York University. Following graduation, she completed the ArtTable Fellowship. Based in New York City, Ms. Reyes brings extensive experience in preparing formal appraisals of Latin American and Contemporary artworks. She has also successfully completed the coursework and examination in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
