Brian Waldbaum

Brian Waldbaum acts as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Sotheby’s Financial Services in New York where he leads the legal team for the Sotheby’s Financial Services business. Prior to joining Sotheby’s Financial Services in January 2020, Brian was Vice President, Corporate & IP Law and Associate General Counsel at The Hertz Corporation, and Counsel at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP with a practice focusing on securitizations and corporate finance. Brian received his B.S. in Policy Analysis from Cornell University and J.D., magna cum laude, from the Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University where he was editor-in-chief of the Cardozo Law Review. Brian also serves as pro bono corporate secretary to the N.Y. Police and Fire Widows’ & Children’s Benefit Fund (Answer the Call), a not-for profit charity that provides assistance to families of New York City police officers and firefighters who have been killed in the line of duty.
