Biography
Ash Nouri plays a leading role in Global Business Development at Sotheby’s Los Angeles, where he advises both new and established collectors on acquisitions and collection management across categories. With over half a decade of experience in the auction industry, he has contributed to the expansion of international business development initiatives and the cultivation of a global client base.
Since joining the company in 2019, Mr. Nouri has been instrumental in sourcing works for auction and private sale while developing and maintaining relationships with collectors worldwide. During his tenure, he has secured and managed significant consignments, including property from major West Coast collections such as those of David H. Murdock, Julie Andrews, and Jacqueline Bisset.
He is also recognized for facilitating acquisitions of record-breaking works by artists including Fernando Botero and Roy Lichtenstein. His results reflect broad expertise across collecting categories, with a particular emphasis on Contemporary and Modern Art.
Prior to joining the Los Angeles office, Mr. Nouri worked in the Fiduciary Client Group at Sotheby’s New York. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and is fluent in Persian.
