Wine Atlas | Quintessential Burgundy, Bordeaux, Italy, and NapaMay 8th · Online Sale · 10:00 AM ET · New York

This May we are pleased to present an exceptional private collection, assembled over many years by a deeply passionate wine lover whose commitment to excellence is evident throughout. This is a cellar shaped not only by access and means, but by curiosity, discernment, and a genuine desire to share great bottles with others. The result is a collection that reflects both a life well lived and a profound respect for the world of fine wine.

In its scope and depth, the collection is nothing short of remarkable. Spanning the great regions of the world at the highest level, it demonstrates a confident and thoughtful approach to collecting, with an emphasis on provenance, vintage selection, and producer pedigree. Bordeaux and Burgundy form the foundation, offering a comprehensive view of these benchmark regions, with wines that reward both immediate enjoyment and long-term cellaring.

The Burgundy selection is particularly strong, opening with many of the Côte d’Or’s most revered domaines, where scarcity and demand often make acquisition a challenge. Grand Cru benchmarks from DRC, Rousseau, Dujac, and more lead the way, followed by modern stars such as Arnoux-Lachaux and Cecile Tremblay. The selection offers a rare opportunity to explore the nuance and pedigree that define this region.

Equally compelling is the breadth and quality of the Bordeaux on offer. First Growths, alongside leading estates from the Left Bank and the most sought-after properties of the Right Bank, are all well represented across a range of vintages and formats. Some bottles are entering a window for near-term enjoyment, while others destined for further aging could lay the foundation for any serious collector’s cellar. Together, they capture both the precision of Bordeaux’s modern era and the enduring influence of tradition and terroir.

Beyond these classical pillars, the collection reveals further treasures from across the globe. From other Old World selections from the likes of J.L. Chave, Bruno Giacosa, and Vega Sicilia to New World icons such as Penfolds and the historic Napa Valley wines of Eisele Vineyard, these producers underscore the global perspective and exacting standards that define the collection as a whole.

This is a cellar that invites exploration. Careful study will reveal both celebrated icons and more discreet gems, each selected with intent and an understanding of what makes great wine truly enduring.
