The fresh-to-market highlights span important eras for the groundbreaking Modernist artist in his quest to reshape visual language. Sotheby's is pleased to present Prints &amp; Photographs Part I, a curated live auction celebrating the richness and innovation of printmaking and photography. Highlighting the expressive power of these interconnected and related mediums, this auction showcases exceptional works by some of the most influential modern and contemporary artists, including Man Ray, Richard Diebenkorn, Robert Longo, Edward Weston, Julie Mehretu, Andy Warhol, Diane Arbus, M. C. Escher, Andy Warhol, and Roy Lichtenstein, among others. Bidding opens on October 14 and closes live at Sotheby’s New York on October 22. Prints Part II will open for online bidding on Tuesday, October 14th and Photographs Part II will open for online bidding on Thursday, October 16th. Lots will close in succession on Thursday, October 23.
