The centuries-long tradition of modelling sculpture in clay - either as sketches or finished works - is beautifully illustrated in this sale by three exceptional works from the hands of significant 18th and 19th-century sculptors: Anne Seymour Damer, Joseph Chinard, and Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, the creator of the iconic Statue of Liberty.

Ranging from Ptolemaic Egypt to the early Roman empire, these six works in stone and terracotta represent figurative sculpture and pottery from the ancient Mediterranean.

This July's sale of Master Sculpture from Four Millennia unites some of the finest sculpture and works of art on the market, from antiquity to the early 20th century.
