eading our prestigious Evening Auction this Fall, Sotheby’s Hong Kong is honoured to present a distinguished selection of works by Modern and Contemporary Masters. This season we have a very strong line-up of works for sale, including a rare monumental canvas from Mark Rothko's Chapel era; a fresh-to-market Zao Wou-Ki hurricane period painting from an American collector; a landmark immersive installation by Yoshitomo Nara hidden from public view for over 15 years, an outstanding Yayoi Kusama golden-orange pumpkin, and much more.
In conjunction with the auctions, we are presenting a museum-quality exhibition titled PSYCHO: Identity Alienation Shadow Duality, a exhibition exploring the inner worlds, tensions and dualities that shaped art and literature’s most influential visionaries.
