This private collection is the legacy of a great Bordeaux aficionado, who was buying wines en primeur only and ageing them perfectly, to be enjoyed at their ideal maturity. The collection reflects the owner’s taste for the best terroirs of Médoc, Saint-Émilion, and Pomerol.

The Ultimate Grand Format | A Pristine Bordeaux Collection

The highlights of this collection are four Format Collections: Ducru-Beaucaillou, Montrose, Pichon Baron, and Clinet. Those are the complete series of formats, from half-bottle (37.5cl) to Melchior (18L), for each château in the fabulous 2010 vintage. The original idea behind these collections was to start tasting with the smaller, ready-to-drink bottles (halves and fulls), progressing over time to the larger ones (magnums, double magnums, etc.) and ending with a momentum around the scarcely seen 18-liters bottles, ideal for those lifelong, everlasting celebrations with friends and family.

The Format Collections

The cellar contains an exceptional quantity of large format for certain renowned wines and vintages, from the classic Magnum of 1.5L to the ultra-rare Primat of 27L. These are intended for important family moments and friendly sharing; and we all know ageing can be extraordinary in these - insanely - large bottles.
