Sotheby’s Watches has once again assembled a wonderful collection of Rolex memorabilia that will surely impress and delight all Rolex enthusiasts – in particular, collectors who revel in the history of this storied brand. The collection will include a variety of window displays, paper weights, posters, watch tools and more.

Additionally, the auction will include a selection of contemporary and vintage wristwatches from renown brands such as Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, Rolex and Jaeger-LeCoultre. PATEK PHILIPPE | REFERENCE 5100 A LIMITED EDITION WHITE GOLD WRISTWATCH WITH 10 DAY POWER RESERVE, MADE TO COMMEMORATE THE NEW MILLENNIUM, CIRCA 2001

Patek Philippe Reference 5100
To celebrate the millennium, Patek Philippe produced in 2001 a collection of limited edition wristwatch known as the reference 5100. Fitted with a ‘Manta Ray’ style case unique to this specific reference, it is also the first reference by Patek Philippe to feature a ten-day power reserve movement. Only 450 pieces of the white gold case were made, according to our estimate. Furthermore, the present watch is complete with all original accessories and offered in pristine like new condition.

Launched in 2005, the reference 5146 is the successor of reference 5035. The annual calendar requires correction once a year only and the mechanism has emerged as one of Patek Philippe’s flagship models. A signature piece of Arnold Schwarzenegger, the present Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore is offered in a yellow gold case fitted with a brown limited to an exclusive 400 pieces. As a faithful yet demanding connoisseur, the actor and former California governor eventually joined efforts with Audemars Piguet for a few years, creating a few models in tribute to his movies such as "End of Days" and "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines," and finally to Schwarzenegger himself.

This double dialed tourbillon wristwatch showcases a highly distinctive tonneau-shaped case. The engine-turned dial advocates Daniel Roth’s expertise gained at Breguet and elegantly displays the tourbillon carriage at 6 o’clock. On the reverse, the dial showcases the power reserve indication and subsidiary dial for date. The watch is numbered 08 and complete with Certificate of Origin and presentation box.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 101
The smallest movement to have ever been made, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 101 was a sensational creation. With a minuscule hairspring that would oscillates at 21,600 beats per hour, and a microscopic dimension of only 14 mm in length, 4.8 mm in width, and 3.4 mm thickness. This movement became the key which have helped unlock and propel the the design of all future lady’s watches and bracelet watches.
