Old Master Paintings

European & British Paintings

In this live December sale of Old Master & 19th Century Paintings in London we are delighted to present a rich and wide variety of works hailing from over six centuries from all the major national schools of art at a broad range of price points. The morning session includes works produced during the Flemish and Dutch Golden Age, an impressive offering of Sienese mannerist pictures, and a selection of elegant British and French portraits from distinguished European collections. The afternoon session encompasses art from Britain and mainland Europe, demonstrating the wide-ranging fascinations of nineteenth- and twentieth-century artists, from still life to portraiture, and from the depiction of animals and landscapes to romantic or realistic depictions of everyday life.
